If you want to learn more about Roam Research, I strongly recommend you take a look at Nat Eliason’s Roam course. I took it, and it taught me a ton of things I didn’t know. Learn more here: https://gmm.to/natroam
There are a ton of tools to help you manage your projects and tasks, and Roam Research is one you should consider. It’s not built to replace a focused task manager, but if you find yourself spending much of your day inside of Roam for other reasons, it only makes sense to have your projects and tasks in there with you.
While Roam has some powerful task management tools, there are a few small things that might trip you up. I’ll show you those in the video, as well as how to make sure to avoid them so nothing slips through the cracks.
If you want to drop the “cleanup” tasks that I show in this video into your own Roam, here are the three I do every week:
{{[[TODO]]}} #scheduled #recurring Check for open tasks that aren’t scheduled. [[May 1st, 2020]]
{{[[TODO]]}} #scheduled #recurring Check for closed tasks that were recurring [[May 1st, 2020]]
{{[[TODO]]}} #scheduled #recurring Check the past week for missed tasks [[May 1st, 2020]]
Also, I realized in the example that “Seal the wood annually” was intended to be a #recurring task, but I forgot to do that. 🙂
