If you want to learn more about Roam Research, I strongly recommend you take a look at Nat Eliason’s Roam course. I took it, and it taught me a ton of things I didn’t know. Learn more here: https://gmm.to/natroam
I’ve been playing with Roam Research for the past few weeks, and I’m really enjoying how useful it can be.
As I mention in the video, over the past year I’ve largely moved from Evernote to Notion, and this reminds me more of Evernote because you can just drop stuff in it without worrying too much about organization. Unlike Evernote, though, the nature of Roam will help you connect various ideas to one another which will make Roam increasingly useful the more you add to it (unlike Evernote, which feels increasingly messy the more you add to it).
I’ll still be using Notion every day for a lot of things, but for notes, ideas, references and links, Roam sure seems like the way to go.
